Join us for an intimate Piano for Four Hands concert with our own Mary Scanlan, member of the AF de GR and Hyesook Kim.

Mary Scanlan earned her doctorate from the University of Illinois, taught at Roosevelt University and came to Grand Rapids in 1989.  She taught piano and music history at Grand Rapids Community College until she retired in 2008.

Hyesook Kim has taught Piano at Calvin University since 1991. She received her M.M. and D.M.A. from Peabody Conservatory of Music while studying with Ann Schein. Dr. Kim presents solo recitals regularly and has performed nationally and internationally as a soloist and as a chamber musician in various cities such as Seoul, Pusan, Daeku, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Bandung, Ottawa, Baltimore, Waco, Santa Clara, Ann Arbor, as well as many other cities throughout Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana..
